"A single fatality or serious injury is one too many and FTA backs this important campaign to improve safety on our rural roads, themselves an absolutely fundamental link in the supply chain that many remote communities rely upon. 

"As the leading transport trade body, FTA is actively engaged in making our roads safer by providing driver training and by working with other organisations to promote safety initiatives which protect and educate all road users. We hope this campaign will raise awareness among all road users of safe driving on country roads whether they drive a truck or a car, or ride a bicycle or motorcycle. With winter fast approaching it couldn't come at a better time."
